Polished finishing starts with a thorough cleaning
Before beginning any exterior painting work, it’s essential to properly prepare all surfaces to make your home or business exterior more resistant to weather, moisture and heat. New paint bonds better when the surface is clean, so you get a longer lasting finish.
We use a power washer to remove dust, spider webs and any other debris or loose paint clinging to siding and window frames.
After a thorough pressure washing, we’ll allow the exterior time to dry before following up with scraping, sanding and priming. At that point the surfaces will be fully prepped and ready for painting.
We use different types of pressure washing depending on the type of surface:
- Vinyl siding
- Aluminum siding
- Fiber cement siding
- Wood siding
- Concrete or stone pathways
- Corrugated steel
Can I hire Empire Painting just for pressure washing?
We typically power wash exteriors as part of the prep work for a painting job. We rarely take on only power washing work, unless it’s a big job. If you have a large home or commercial building in need of a good exterior cleaning, let us know.
Also, if we’re on-site for an exterior painting and you have a brick walkway or concrete driveway you’d like to have power washed, it’s no problem to take care of that after we’ve done your home exterior.
