During July of 2017, Empire Painting was pleased to support two community murals commissioned by 88.9 Radio Milwaukee. The partnership stirred up colorful creations produced by talented, local artists with paint donated by Empire.
Stacey William-Ng achieved an expansive mural stretching nearly the entire width of the Penfield Children’s Center‘s north side, roughly 122 by 27 feet. William-Ng is an accomplished artist and director of wallpapered city, LLC, a consulting agency specializing in sourcing artists for large-scale art projects.
With the assistance of a fellow painter, William-Ng worked with the challenging brick surface and Sherwin-Williams paint. As paint used for residential and commercial projects is typically a mix of different pigments, she essentially approached the project as a “paint by numbers.” The mural represents community, cohesion, and the rhythm binding us all together.
