Four stages take you from the first conversation to the finished work. The details are shaped around your home and the scope we agree on together.

Choose a free estimate time online or call the office. We confirm your request, then walk through the spaces and surfaces you want to improve.

Review the Scope & Plan.
We discuss preparation, access, color questions and timing. Your written estimate defines the included work so expectations are clear before painting begins.
Review the surfaces, finish choices, payment terms and applicable warranty details.
Protect, Prepare & Paint.
We protect surrounding areas and prepare surfaces as needed: cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, priming and masking. Then the crew completes the painting.
Preparation follows the surface and project scope. Exterior work takes suitable weather into account.
Clean Up & Review Together.
We clean up the work area and walk through the finished project with you. Review the details and discuss questions before final completion.
No deposit is required. Payment is due when the work is complete.
What Happens During Your Estimate?
We learn about your project, evaluate surfaces and answer questions. For most projects, we review pricing on-site and explain the next steps.
Plan for about 45–60 minutes. Larger projects or a more detailed review may take up to 90 minutes. Timing varies with the scope and your questions.

What happens during the estimate?
We review surfaces, project goals, preparation needs, access, color questions and timing so the estimate reflects the work you want done. Most estimates take about 45–60 minutes; larger projects and detailed questions can take longer.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. Empire Painting does not require a deposit before work begins. Payment is due when the project is complete.
Why does preparation matter?
Preparation helps the finished paint look cleaner and perform better. Depending on the surface and written scope, it may include cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, priming, masking and protection.
Who communicates with me during the project?
Office staff help coordinate scheduling and communication. Project management and crew leadership support progress updates and next steps, depending on the project scope and stage.
How should I prepare my home?
Discuss access, the areas being painted and any special concerns during the estimate. Confirm what you need to move or make accessible with the team before work begins; the requirements depend on your project.
Does the process differ for interior and exterior painting?
The same overall approach applies: review the scope, prepare, paint and review the finished work. The surfaces, protection and preparation differ. Exterior work also needs suitable weather.
What happens at the final walkthrough?
The crew cleans up the work area and reviews the completed project with you. This is the time to go over the finished work and discuss questions before final completion.
When is payment due, and what warranty applies?
Payment is due when the work is complete. A three-year written workmanship warranty applies to qualifying work. Your written agreement explains the project scope and coverage.
