What affects the cost of interior house painting?
Cost depends on room size and count, ceiling height, wall condition, color changes, trim and doors, patching, access, furniture protection and the surfaces included. Empire reviews the actual rooms before providing a written estimate.
What can an interior painting estimate cover?
The estimate can address walls, ceilings, baseboards, crown molding, window trim, interior doors, closets, built-ins, connected spaces, preparation, protection, colors and project sequence.
Do you protect floors, furniture and fixtures?
Yes. Protection is planned around the room and written scope and may include floors, furniture, fixtures and nearby surfaces. The estimate also clarifies what the homeowner should move and what the crew will handle.
Do I need to move all of the furniture?
Not always. Homeowners are generally asked to remove small, fragile and personal items. Larger furniture, access and protection responsibilities are discussed before work begins.
Do you repair holes, cracks or damaged drywall?
Minor patching and preparation may be included when documented in the proposal. Larger drywall repairs, water damage, active moisture or structural movement should be evaluated separately before finish painting.
How long does an interior painting project take?
Timing depends on room count, preparation, ceiling height, trim and door work, color changes, drying time and how the rooms must be sequenced. The expected schedule is discussed before work begins.
Can Empire paint while we are living in the home?
Yes. The plan should address room order, furniture, electronics, closets, pets, household schedules, drying time and which spaces need to remain available during the project.
Can Empire help with interior colors and sheen?
Yes. Empire can help coordinate wall and trim colors, accent areas, lighting, flooring, cabinets, furniture, room flow and sheen. More detailed color-consultation support is also available.
How many coats or when is primer needed?
The coating plan depends on the existing and new colors, surface condition, product, sheen and adhesion needs. The written scope should explain the intended system instead of assuming every room needs the same answer.
How do deposit, payment and warranty work?
Empire requires no deposit before work begins. Payment is due when the agreed work is complete. Qualifying workmanship is backed by a written three-year warranty; your project documents explain the applicable coverage.
